Use About My Sound in ChatGPT and Claude

About My Sound works inside ChatGPT and Claude. Describe your band or music project in a conversation and you get a preview of your website right away. You can also look up artists who have an About My Sound website and get their stage plots, which is handy for venues and sound engineers preparing a show.

You don't need an account to use it.

Connect it

Claude: open the Claude directory, search for About My Sound and select Connect. You can also find it in Claude under Settings, then Connectors, then Browse.

What you can do

Create a website draft

Tell the assistant about your project: your name, genre, a line or two about your sound, and links to your Spotify, Bandcamp, Instagram or other profiles. You can ask for a style (clean and bold, dreamy, editorial, glass, hand-drawn, minimal, retro or street) and a brand color.

You get two links:

• A preview of your website, which you can open right away with no sign-in.
• A link to keep it. Sign in, and your details carry into your website setup so you don't have to type them again.

Want something different? Ask for another style or color and the assistant makes a new draft.

Look up an artist

Ask about any artist with an About My Sound website, by name or by their website address. You get their genre, bio, links, upcoming shows and press kit.

Get a stage plot

Ask for an artist's stage plot to get the stage size, the channel input list and the equipment on stage, with a link to the printable version.

Your drafts and your privacy

Drafts are not published and are not listed in search engines. Anyone with the preview link can see the draft, so share it only with people you choose. A draft you don't keep is deleted after 30 days.

The assistant sends us only the details you ask it to include. We never receive your chat history. Artist lookups only return what an artist has already published on their website. The details are in our privacy policy.
