Frequently Asked Questions

Can ChatGPT or Claude build a website for my band?

Short Answer
Yes. Connect the About My Sound app in ChatGPT or Claude, then describe your music in a chat.
Long Answer
Share your artist or band name, genre, a line or two about your sound, and links to your Spotify, Bandcamp, Instagram or other profiles. Ask for a style (clean and bold, dreamy, editorial, glass, hand-drawn, minimal, retro or street) and a brand color. You get a link to preview your website right away and a link to keep it.

Do I need an About My Sound account?

Short Answer
Not to try it. You only sign in when you want to keep a draft.
Long Answer
Creating drafts, looking up artists and getting stage plots all work without an account. When you open the keep link and sign in, the details from your chat carry into your website setup, so you don't type them again. Keeping your site starts a 14-day free trial, no credit card required.

Can AI edit my live website?

Short Answer
Not yet. Today it creates new drafts, and you edit your live site in the dashboard.
Long Answer
If a draft isn't quite right, ask for another style or color and the assistant makes a new one. Once you've kept your site, update your bio, photos, music, shows and design from your About My Sound dashboard.

How can a sound engineer get a band's stage plot from AI?

Short Answer
Ask ChatGPT or Claude for the artist's stage plot, using their name or website address.
Long Answer
With the About My Sound app connected, you get the stage size, the channel input list and the equipment on stage, plus a link to the printable stage plot. It works for any artist who has published a stage plot on About My Sound.

Is my information private?

Short Answer
Yes. The assistant only sends the details you ask it to put on your website, never your chat history.
Long Answer
Drafts aren't published or listed in search engines, and a draft you don't keep is deleted after 30 days. Artist lookups only return what an artist already shows on their public website, never email addresses or account details.
